What are the edit mode limitations when multiple users are in DCO?

Our users are reporting an issue where they are making edits to the power chain inside a cage... user 1 is making edits to the power chain of row 1 and the second user two on row 2. The error is “Another user is making changes and your work will not be saved” and then the changes are removed.

We need to understand the current limitations... Any help is appreciated.

Hi Wes,

In a multi-user environment, users can work simultaneously with other users without any problem as long as there "edit" and "save" tasks do not interfere with each others jobs. The following page contains some description about users working simultaneously in DCO:
Understanding what Happens when Multiple Users Work Simultaneously in DCO

Tip: it is recommended that users should save there changes frequently, this will reduce the amount of the changes lost in case of a multi-user conflict.

Hope this helps,
Kind regards

Thanks for the reply Jef. We are thinking two users should not make edits within the same cage at the same time. We had thought this limitation was more at a row level, not cage level.

Just to close the loop... we understand the limitation to be users editing power circuits on the same PDU. Avoid having more than one person modeling circuits on any given PDU. I assume this holds true for any part of the power chain.
