We have equipment instilled in racks, both front and rear. The capacity report only takes in to account the equipment installed in the front.
For example:
42RU Rack
10 x 2RU servers installed
4 x 1RU switches installed int eh rear.
Total used RU = 24RU
18RU Free
DCO reports a total 0f 22RU free.
How do we make the system relies that the equipment installed in the rear counts to the utilized

Hi Andrew,
That's correct, Rack U-Space reports are basically based on front mounted equipment, so the rear mounted devices will not be taken into calculations. However, I understand there might be some misinformation if the rear mounted device(s) should occupy the whole U position. I have registered an enhancement case for this so the codes could be reviewed.
As a workaround, you might want to add(front mount) non-powered devices (such as patch panel, and name it something like "occupied by rear mounted equipment") in the same U position as rear mounted equipment.
Kind regards

Thanks, not really an acceptable work around. We detail all patch panels in the product with both source and destination and number of ports.
Adding patch panels or other devices then makes a mess of capacity reporting etc. There should be an option to count rear mounted equipment in the RU calculation.
