Hi shahzad,

Can we upgrade DCIM AP9470 from FW 5.1.1 to 7.3.1?

Yes, of course it's possible. However, it is somewhat time-consuming process. Look, for example, here is this similar topic: DCE upgrade from 7.2.0 to 7.4.1 & Backup advice.

If yes, please guide path.

Steven Marchetti fully answered this question.

Can we retrieve licences keys from restore backup 5.1.1 file ?

Yes, of course, but usually this is not necessary. After all license keys are always saved in the backup server's DCE and a normal update automatically transferred from version to version. In any case, the license keys can be viewed inside the you_DCE_backup_folder/nbcServer.tar archive in the PostgreSQL ASCII-file by the path /data/tmp/dbdump/netbotz (the key phrase for searching is COPY licenses ).

With best regards.

Hi Shahzad,

You can not pull the license keys out of a DCE backup. Assuming you had an account and registered on the older register.netbotz.com or the current dcimassets-admin.schneider-electric.com, your license keys should be listed there. Tech support can also assist with the license keys if your server is still running.

You'll also need to contact technical support for the links for the upgrades. You can not upgrade directly from 5.1.1 to 7.3.1. I'm also not sure why you would want to go to 7.3.1 as the most recent version is 7.4.3.

Thanks,

Steve

Shahzad,

A backup can only be restored on the same version that it was created on.

Cory

Shazad,

The link provides the necessary upgrades from 5.1.1.  The first upgrade would be 6.0.1.

Technical support would need to verify your software support and then they could provide the necessary upgrade files.

Regards,

Cory
