We recently moved some racks in our actual data center and are trying to mirror it in DCO. There are a few tiles in the grid though (a 2' x 6' area) that won't allow any racks to be placed, by moves or with new assets.
Anyone else run into a similar issue, or know a fix?

Hi Austin,
Based on your kindly shared screen captures, it seems basically your Hot Aisle Containment System is not correctly configured. It seems your racks/row is overlapping the containment system, and not being included in the HACS. Here is an illustration of Hot (and Cold) Aisle Containment system:
So I would basically check/correct the containment system first, and then it should be possible to move/relocate the rack(s).
Hope this helps,
Kind regards

unlock the room, move the perforated floor tiles (use the mouse or select the perf tile and use the arrow keys) then move your racks. move the perf tiles to where they need to be, re-lock the room once you're done.
If you have a hot or cold aisle, you may need to temporarily resize that so its smaller and can make changes to the rack layout.
if you're still having issues, please post a screenshot

No luck, even with extending aisles and moving in the way assets. The First picture is the room before making any changes. I can move assets, extend the rows, etc. But where that large X is shows up as red when dragging a rack (NC-13) over it. The furthest I can move it over is where it is sitting now. Same issue happens when trying to drag a brand new rack from the genome library as well.

that definitely seems odd, sounds like the client still thinks their are racks in that location.
i'd still make sure you shrink your hot aisle first, then extend the row and add the rack(s).
What version of DCO are you using? Have you tried removing row 5A, Click Save, clicking the Operations data center tab, then clicking back into edit data center tab?

I'm running 8.1.0 right now. I've deleted/moved everything that's close to this location a few times, and tried playing with the row and hot-aisle sizing to see if that would do anything. And if I remove one of those empty racks, I can place the desired rack there, but then I still get the same issue of that 'no man's land' for any other racks.

I think it's a row capacity issue, try increasing the capacity to include more cabinets and
review row properties

How do you change row capacity? I don't think that's a setting I've used before.
The row allows for racks to be added though, just not in a select space (see the red X).

Hi Jef,
Unfortunately, still no luck. I matched the sizing of the hot aisle to the picture above, but it still does not allow me to place racks in the gap. I can place as much as I want from NC-13 and all the way to the right, but cannot place anything to its left, regardless of row/HACS sizing.

Hi Austin,
Many thanks for providing the data. There is a very thin "Block" (1 mm in Depth) occupying the space, that is located just beside the rack "NC-13":
If I move the racks NC-13 and CORE02 plus the row ROW-5A to somewhere else, then the block is more visible/illustrative in 3D view:
If I remove the block, then the 'space' is free and can place any rack there:
Kind regards
