Struxureware DCO Asset List View restriction

We came across a situation where custom fields were to be configured to a group of assets at a client site where the number of assets per list view do not go beyond 1000 assets. Do we have same restriction in new 7.4 as well?

Hi Vineet,

The Equipment browser will only show the first 1000 assets that match the applied filters. However the multi edit function of the equipment browser will update all loaded records that match the filter.

Note: Rooms have to be loaded before the equipment can be modified.

So to mass update a custom property for more than 1000 records:

1. Load the rooms that you want to modify
2. Setup the filters in the eq browser to select the right equipment (if there are more than 1000 matches only the first 1000 matching records will be shown)
3. Click the “Edit multiple items” button (to the far right at the top of the eq browser)
4. Pick the column and enter the value that you want to assign
5. Click apply
6. DCO will tell you the total number of records that were updated.
7. Once you are happy with the changes - Click save to commit the changes to the server

-Note: Massive commits across thousands of objects may take some time to execute on the server.
