Smtp error alerts

Because I can not set up your alerts from the StruxureWare console, since it has been set all smtp gmail outlook Office365 hotmail and live servers, the error that always delivers is that it does not find the smtp server, the same program StruxureWare has its own service testing and there it all works well

Hi Luis,

Can you clarify exactly what is the issue here. Is your DCE not able to send emails out?
What do you have for the SMTP Server settings in DCE.? Can you provide a screenshot that?
Can you provide a screenshot of the errors you are getting, or can you provide the logs from the DCE?
You could also contact your local Support team, who will be able to assist you with gathering more information and troubleshooting the issue.

Hello Stine, even I present the problem in the StruxureWare server, I have tried to solve, but I have failed, I have tried several smtp servers, for example Gmail, Office 365, Hotmail and others, and always indicates the same error, not smpt can contact the server, however the StruxureWare has a Quick Tools network for testing, which indicates that SMTP is properly configured, would not have something to do that mailbox must have some additional confiugracion? ¿relay?

Hi Luis, Can you confirm what version of DCE you are using. Can you also provide any details of the SMTP servers and ports you are testing. If you could provide screenshots of the Email Settings from DCE, that would help. As for working with Gmail, another user has found a workaround on the post below. DCE with Gmail SMTP Let me know if this also works for you or not. John T

Hello, I inform you that the problem was solved, and we created a corporate mail and this was achieved via smtp solve the problem, it is important to mention that the corporate mail is limited to send mail only to members of the domain controller.

Hello Luis,

If you are now receiving two emails for each alert, it could be that you have duplicated the Notification Policy or Alert Action in your alarm configuration. Can you contact your local support team to have this investigated further.
