SW Portal needs service restart

Hi All,

 

SW Portal does not run efficiently. I can not access each time that i want. So i restart the service then portal is running. What is that reason? It is a configuration problem or other?

Hi Jef, It is dedicated server. I shared system information in attach. That issue has seen since installed the portal exe. While i am configuring, system is down then i restart the service it is run normally. Regards Kerem

Kerem, Does your StruxureWare Portal server run any advanced antivirus tools or software? I have seen cases where antivirus tools can cause performance issues with portal as portal uses many small files and it can also effect the database. If you are able to test, please temporarily disable the antivirus tools to see if the portal behaves properly. If it does, you will need to exclude the portal installation directory and postgres database folders. Regards Greg Sterling

Hi Kerem, Many thanks for sharing the logs. There was no indication in the log files that should affect the (Portal) server performance. Perhaps after all, it might be memory related, if possible I would recommend the current RAM (4Gb) to be increased. When experiencing "portal not running efficiently", it would be interesting to see/watch the Windows server "Performance" activity (in windows task manager) , specially looking at the Memory usage profile.
