Hi,
I have the DC Expert Server with version 7.6 and I have the following problems with UPS trades Liebert (model GXT4) y Toshiba (model 1600XP, 1600EP) via SNMP:
- I have access with the browser to the Web of the network card and I can see its parameters, but with the DC Expert does not recognize it when it comes to adding it. Why?
- I have checked the firmware of some network cards and use SNMP V2 and V3, V1 and V3. The DC EXpert recognizes these cards. Can it work?
Thanks.

Hi Norberto,
If you go to the web page of the DCE server, click on the "status" menu on the upper right:
Next, under "Additional Information", choose "SNMP Device Walk" and hit "Submit"
Using the same parameters you tried using for an SNMP device discovery, try to enter that information in the fields provided and hit "Submit"
If you get no data back, DCE does not have SNMP connectivity to the device. I would suggest trying some of the troubleshooting steps in the following k-base:

Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Norberto,
As I noted in my previous comment, you'll simply need to troubleshoot SNMP and the network. The k-base I linked goes through a number of testing / troubleshooting steps. I can't give you configuration help on the Liebert UPS but if you have the version of SNMP correct and the security information (community names, encryption info, etc) matching on the DCE server's Discovery or the SNMPwalk that failed. It looks like a network / firewall issue.
As noted in the FAQ, you may want to run a packet capture at the UPS or DCE to see if the information is even being sent and / or received. If you run an SNMPwalk for instance from a computer and that works, then it would appear to be something blocking DCE or it's network. If you can't even run an SNMPwalk or get from a laptop on the same subnet as the UPS, then you need to verify settings on the device. Again, take a look at the document:
