Portal v1.3.3 on Debian
I recently installed DCO portal 1.3.3 on Debian for demo purpose. I wanted to share some tips specifically related to Debian
Please make sure you use the command of chmod to change the right of install.sh right after you unzip the file
You must add "sudo" to execute the install.sh (sudo bash install.sh installPostgres noupgrade start)
After executing install.sh, you need to go to the Debian user account administration console. There you will see a new account created - liferay. It is at disabled statue. Please unlock the account and enable the liferay account by setting password for it. (The password policy is strict for Debian. Your password must contain upper case alphabet and use uncommon combinations to fulfill its requirements). Please also allow liferay user account to automatically login upon boot
In case you need to start portal service manually, you need to execute startup.sh, which is located at the folder /opt/StruxurewarePortal/liferay/tomcat/bin
