Existing DDFs can be found here:

There's also a way to request a new DDF on that page as well as an instructional video.

Thanks Steve.  I've searched the Device Support page for DDF files pertaining to PDPM138H-5U, but they don't have any files available.  I've put in a device request for the above model.

I was under the impression that support for this Modular PDU was provided by DDFs that are already included/shipped with DCE? Have you tried to add the device yet Eric or just planning for the future?

Angela, I was not aware the DDF was included with DCE.  I've added the device to several of our servers.  One server is giving me an alert:

'Device status may be inaccurate because an attempt to transfer a DDF failed.'

I've reviewed the DCIM/Ecostruxureit posts about this error, but cannot pinpoint why it does not alarm in 2 of my servers, but does in the 3rd server. 

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi Eric - OK, that error message relates to the alarm (alerting) DDF. The DDFs they make under Device Support are what we call scanner DDFs and they do different things and are different files.

For the error message you have, refer to this FAQ for things to check, hopefully it is just a configuration issue with adding the device file transfer settings: http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA177004

Lastly, I think this this unit uses APC PDU. Sometimes devices may reference a few DDFs but most of the stuff should be in APC PDU.

Yes, the necessary DDF is included with the StruxureWare DCE v7.6.0 software.  The issue had to do with file transfer protocols. 

Resolution:

Enabled only FTP on device, rebooted.

Set up FTP only under 'Device File Transfer Settings'
