I backed up the DCE 7.9.3 install.
I got the 8.0 DCE zip file update downloaded.
The "Import Update" completed normally.
However, for the 1'st time in 15 years, the "Install Update" dialog box is grey-out.
Repeated all the steps. Nothing, NADA. Can anyone help me get to 8.0.0 ??
Scott

Hello,
If you experience this issue, I recommend the following:
- Check to ensure that there is plenty of storage space on the server (System > Server Administration Settings > Storage Settings)
- Ensure to validate the checksum of the downloaded upgrade file with the checksum provided on the upgrade download page: https://community.se.com/t5/DCE-FAQ/How-to-verify-the-checksum-for-the-DCE-update-file/ta-p/446832
If you still experience issues with installing an update, please reach out to technical support to investigate why the client or server would not be accepting the upgrade file.
@ScottAZ, If you are able to provide details as to how this was resolved for you, it may help others if they run into the same issue.
Kind Regards,
Cory

Hello everyone,
I do have one other suggestion when updating the server software and firmware software. Make sure that when you select "import" that you choose the corresponding ZIP file. For instance.... upgrade-8.2.0.239.zip
If not, the system may also cause the greyed out "install update: to appear.
Stay well. Scott

Thanks for commenting Scott,
yes it is worth noting that in DCE 8.x versions the upgrade.zip file does not need to be extracted first and is uploaded as .zip file. This is different from previous DCE updates on the 5/6/7.x versions where it did have to be unzipped first and you would use the .lst file.
