Is there a way to add a task to a work order about a network cable?
If a work order is put in to move a server then the current in rack cabling is removed however any more cabling in the network route is not. Unless the cabling is removed before the work order is created it is difficult to find the rest (out of rack) of the cabling and remove it. It would be ideal if a task could be created in the WO that once complete deletes the cabling or at the least shows the current connections

Hi James,
I've also retested and could see that moving/relocating a server (as a work order/task) would result in removing its current network connections (and we might not want to remove the rest specially out of rack connections). As an example, if a server's network connection could be something like: Server -> PP1 -> PP2 -> Switch, then perhaps only disconnecting the network between Server and PP1 might make sense and in some environment it is not expected to remove the rest. However, I would be happy to register a feature request for you, if so would it be possible to ask for more detail description & illustrations, thanks.
Kind regards

Jef Faridi - I would like to see all the connections remain in place until the WO task is set to complete. That way the route of the out of rack cable can be easily found and deleted/modified as required. As until the WO is complete the device is still in it's original location with all cables connected.
