Netbotz 750 firmware update using CLI

Hello all, 

 

Is there a way to upload and kick off a firmware update using the CLI?

 

I have a Netbotz 750 on firmware version 5.2.1.150. 

When I try to update it to 5.3.5 it takes a very long time but never completes.

 

I was hoping this is a GUI issue and I could upload and install over SSH.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi @Hogg ,

Sorry, but even in newer firmware, this option is not yet available. I would suggest contacting your local support team. If the file never gets fully uploaded to the device, there is a way to get around that but the actual update must be initiated through the web UI.

Hi, I also have a Netbotz 750 on 5.3.5.434. The latest version (PROD_SIGNED_NBRK075x_Build_5.4.0.11) doesn't really upload at all - I get a small initial amount of bar but it stops. The Ecostruxture console reports that it is frequently offline and I am under pressure to solve this problem.

So if there's another solution I would love to know it.

Hi @TimGRAFM ,
I would say the same as before. If the file never uploads to the device, support may be able to assist. If it's frequently offline, that could be a different issue. It could be a network issue in which case, I would suggest trying a crossover cable from laptop to NetBotz. It could be an issue with the NetBotz itself where again, I suggest contacting your local support.
