Netbotz 355 ver 4.6.3 is unable to send email. Configured netbotz email the same as DCE server admin email setting. When I send test email it returns "Email test was unsuccessful". Is there something else that needs to set up?

Hi Jan,
There is one thing that we've seen in NetBotz running firmware rev. 4,6,3. K-base FA365716 notes that the "from" address is coming up as unknown and I've seen a number of instances where an e-mail server does not accept that. Other than that, we'd have to go through your configuration and check out each setting.
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply. I think the easiest thing for me to do is just replace the 355 with another one with older firmware.

You could do that if you have a spare. You can also load an older version of the firmware. There is another link within the k-base that I provided that says how. Hopefully there will be an update soon.

P.S.
I know it's already fixed in the next rev of the firmware, I just don't have an ETA

Hi Steve,
The k-base link within the k-base link you sent me didn't work "Unable to find page". In any case, I have a 355 version 4.4.0 where email also doesn't work. The email works for the UPS's in struxureware. Any other Idea? Thanks,

Shouldn't the 355 with 4.4.0 work? With the 4.6.3 version, what ver should I downgrade it to? Thks

Hi Jan,
I'd suggest just 1 minor rev...4.6.2 would have the most up to date options without the e-mail issue I noted.

Hi Steve,
Do you have an APC.com link to TFTP. Other sites referenced are being blocked by our security team.
Thanks, jan

Hi Steve,
OK I got it figured out. I now have version 4.6.2 on appliance, but email still not working. Any other thoughts?
Thanks, Jan

Hi Steve,
I got it to work but had to point to another email server for what ever reason. Thanks for you help.

Glad you got it working!
If one server works and another doesn't, I can't say what it may have been...unless you go through all settings and firewall differences between the networks.
