NetBotz 750 dropping sensor pod connections.

Our NetBotz 750 does this intermittently:

Alert Description:

Disconnected 2893991570125504295: 28298600004E3F27 is not responding.

Alert Type:

Sensor pod unplugged

Alert Description:

Communication with the 2893991570125504295: 28298600004E3F27 has been restored.

Alert Type:

Sensor pod replugged

Disconnection and reconnection happens within a couple of minutes.

All sensor pods, cables, etc. are new, but issue remains.  Any thoughts?

Thanks ... Jake.

To be clear is this one of the universal sensors declaring this fault like a AP9335 temp, AP9335TH temp / humidity, AP9520 TH display, other?

Or is this one of those extended sensor pods that offer more ports? If the latter than I would ask is the (Terminator) plug inserted as required in the A-Link port?

If everything is new (sensors) and hardware swap the ports to see if the problem follows the sensor.

If it does that points to the sensor, cable, both. It should be called out trying different cables from shielded vs none shielded would be a good test.

If you have extended the cable run insure the cable is at least 23 AWG and not 24-28 AWG as the resistance can drop the voltage and the returned (resistance) expected can result in the problem you see.

CAT5e is called out by APC and CAT7 / CAT8 which is shielded isn’t for some reason.

Thanks for responding!  We have six Sensor Pod 150's daisy chained with CAT6, unshielded.  Terminator plug in the last A-Link port.  "Unplugging" is random (times & sensors).  Tried switching ports.  No effect.  This is our second "750" appliance.  Better than the first but still flaky.  Below is an incident example.  Thanks for your help.

I would disconnect five pods and see if the problem goes away. If so add one more pod to see what happens.

My expectation is you’ll begin to see a drop out by the 4th - 6th pod. Report back what you see and observe. 👍
