Lunch to device using HTTPS fails in DCE

Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue lunching to a device using HTTPS inside in DCE knowing that I can access the device's web UI using any browser.

Our customer wants to lunch to the device from DCE when he clicks on Lunch to Device. any ideas!

note: we still using DCE 7.8.1, not 7.9.0

Hi @Igenadi,

I know this post is older, but wanted to get a reply in case the issue is still present or someone else runs into the same issue and comes across this post.

I recommend getting up to the most recent version of DCE.  Technical support can verify software support contracts and provide access to the necessary files to come up-to-date. Current version release notes can be found here: https://community.se.com/t5/Data-Center-Expert-release-notes/tkb-p/data-center-expert-release-notes

If you are receiving an error "Could not connect to the device, make sure the device is connected, and the device launch settings are correct (i.e. port and protocol)." you can edit the Device Launch settings to select HTTPS instead of HTTP.

If the page is launching, but you are receiving an error message, please provide details of the exact error, or even a screen capture of what the issue is.

I would recommend changing the settings within DCE to launch to an external web browser instead of the internal web browser until the DCE software is on the most currently released version.  If experiencing an issue on the most recent version, I would recommend working through technical support to investigate the issue.

Regards,

Cory
