I have two Kohler Generator Transfer switches model MPAC 1500. I am using the correct ddf files for the Modbus over TCP communication. The switches are discovered and added to DCE 7.4.1 and I can see all the sensor inputs. The problem I have is the transfer switches are reporting an Active Device alarm that states "A System Ready condition exists." Has anyone seen this in DCE before and does anyone know how to clear this Alarm?

Hi Kade,
The state you noted, "A System Ready condition exists." seems both a valid state as well as a state that should not be alerted for. I'm assuming there are no alerts on the device itself, correct?
As for DCE alerting on this state, I wanted to verify where the alert is configured. Go to the "Alarm Configuration" perspective in DCE and "Device Alarm Configurations". Find the appropriate device in the "Navigation" pane on the left and see if there is a threshold for this event. If there is and should not be, it sounds like the DDF needs to be edited to omit that state. If it's not there, check "Threshold Alarm Configurations" for that state. If it is listed there, someone created a threshold to alert on that state and chose this state rather than an actual failure state.
Thanks,
Steve

I just checked and there is no "Threshold Alarm Configurations" for that state. There is however a "Device Alarm Configuration" for Device -> System Ready -> System Ready.

Hi Kade,
I suggest disabling the event or just dealing with it for the moment but I've also added the "DDF" tag to this issue and hopefully the DDF team can help you out with this. If there is no event on the device and a valid state of "ready" exists, it sounds like that event shouldn't be there for that state.
