I am wanting to send an email alert about a specific Device Alarm (not the Threshold alarm) and not sure how to accomplish this. Right now I have all of the devices that I want to monitor in a Notification Policy but that should send all alarms from the devices and I just want a single alarm. Is there something I am missing when I am setting up this notification policy?

Hi Brett,
Device alarms can not be configured to individual policies. If you want to send a specific alarm to an action / policy other than that used on the device as a whole, you have to manually create a threshold for it.
Thanks,

Brett,
Device alarms, which are found in the Alarm Configuration Perspective and Device Alarm Configuration Pane, are tied to the devices within your notification policies. Whatever notification policy your device is within, the device alarms (Device Alarm Configurations) will use that for notification.
Threshold Alarm Configurations, or custom thresholds and communication lost thresholds, alert for whichever policy the thresholds are tied to.
For more information, including a video guide on how to configuration email alerts, see knowledge base FA225766.
