Hello Fabio SNMP is not recommended for discovering servers, in general SNMP should be used for discovering blade chassis (like HP, Dell, and IBM). WMI should be used to discover windows hosts. The user account used for these discoveries should have local admin access to the target windows host. If the user account has this access you will need to share the support logs from the ITO server to better understand what is going on. One command you can use to test the WMI credentials ... if you logon to the ITO server, open a windows command line and run this command... this command should execute successfully and return some basic server information. You will be asked for a password when you hit enter. The "user-name" should be the user-name specified in the discovery. wmic /node: /user: path Win32_ComputerSystemProduct It would appear in the above screenshot the host at 172.20.2.1 is a management card given it appears it responded to IPMI and did not accept WMI. IPMI discoveries requires a user account which has admin access to the management card (ILO, iDRAC, and so on). Notice in the case of that discovery attempt the result noted "unable to find unique serial number" . Any asset discovered by ITO must return a serial number as all assets are stored in the ITO database per their serial number. If its blank/empty the asset will not complete discovery. For management cards, this will occur of the IPMI user account does not have sufficient privs to complete discovery, if the management card firmware is old or out-dated, of if the asset serial is legitimately blank/empty. If the management card firmware is 2014 or earlier, I would suggest updating it. If the serial number value is not visible in the servers BIOS, I would suggest setting it. On the ITO server you should be able to use IE, Firefox, or Chrome to browse to "http://localhost:8688/DataCenterManager";. This is the datacenter manager view of the discovered IPMI based assets. Is the 172.20.2.1 present in the discovered list (the list of IP's in the left side)? If yes, then check the details pane in the bottom middle section to see if the serial number/asset tag field is set. You can always collect support logs using the dco desktop client's "download logs" feature to grab ITO logs so we can check log information in more detail. Regards Greg Sterling
