Hello,
I have a customer who would like to use both DCO and PME, specifically using DCO to view device sensors and alarms for devices in PME. I understand how to set up the integration using this link:
But this does not specify what information will be brought into DCO. Am I correct in assuming that once the ETL and External systems are configured, I will be able to associate the devices in PME just as I would if I added DCE as an external system as stated here?
Viewing Alarms From External Systems
I will also need to know what versions of PME are supported for this integration assuming we will be using the latest version of DCO which is currently at 8.2.2.
I am also going to need some insight as to how the integration will be affected if we were to use Ecostruxure IT Advisor as the aggregation point once it is released.
Please let me know if you need clarification on any of these questions.
Thank you,

I have used the PME to DCO integration and as far as I am aware it was mainly designed for the sharing of power readings and not alarms. You are correct in that once it is configured on both sides (DCO and PME) then you will see the KW power values as unassigned devices in device association.
I think the best/easiest way to get similar alarms is to have DCE read the same meters and create the alarms. I know PME also offers OPC as a method of integration but unsure if PME exposes alarms through that interface, but if they do then it might be possible to do OPC - ETL.

Hi Justin, I'm very interested in this topic as well but I haven't yet done the PME alarms to DCO part. During my quick scan of the PME DCO integration page, I didn't see if PME alarms were included?
If not, you can bring external alarms into DCO via ETL Import Database and the "Alarm" table. I've done that before but there were some important things to consider - assuming the PME DCO integration excludes alarms. DCO is not designed as an alarm management tool. Customer expectation around performance should play a big part in deciding to do this. It can be several minutes before an alarm generated in PME appears in DCO. To have the PME originating alarm "linked" to the DCO device requires, as I recall, to know the ci_id of the DCO device. So some coding is required.
Please let me know if the DCO PME integration includes PME alarms. Can't (yet) help on IT Advisor
I hope that helps
Ed
