How to start using DCO API (SOAP and RESTful)?

I would like to know what is the "entry point" of DCO API also in version 7.5 and 8.0

In version 8.0 I tried to use the following: https:///rest/items?room_key=roomid without any result.

Is it possible to provide some simple examples how to start using?

I found the relevent detailed documentation here but it seems to me too deep dive as I am a newbie 😀

Navigate to https:///api/current and log in using the same administrative credentials you use when logging into DCO. You will then see the REST API endpoints and documentation.

I recommend that you only use the REST API, if possible, as that is what is being developed going forward. The web client itself is using the REST API.

I see that your link eventually leads to https://dcimsupport.apc.com/DCOAPIdoc/ which also shows the REST API endpoints (however, without the possibility of easily testing the endpoints which is possible when you access /api/current on your server). You should be able to use the API with the information available but you are of course welcome to ask again if you have specific problems. You may want to consider reading up on REST web services to get a general idea of how it works.
