A customer is asking: How can we determine how many racks can be fitted into our data center room? The racks would be placed in rows.
As a current work-around, they are placing racks on the floor and then tagging the unused racks. But that uses up rack licenses on empty racks.

Hi Christian,
Perhaps looking at the "Room Area" (or Cage area) in Colo overlay might give us some indication of rooms rack capacity (1 rack approximately = 1 m2)
(note: this is just a demo illustration and not a real operational setup)
Kind regards

Christian Riis, work around to your work around ... to reserve rack space without using rack license:
Model block or fire panel, but reduce the height to say 10mm, so it does not affect DCO's cooling calculation too much.Give it a name, or tag, so you can still identify it.
