For some reason I am having issues with discovering APC UPS devices. I have Netbotz devices on the same network that are discoverable without a problem. Is there a special process for discovering the UPS devices?
Some things I've already checked:
Any ideas?

you should be doing an snmp v1 or v3 discovery, the snmp community strings in your discovery need sto match whats on the device under Network-->SNMPv1–>access control, also if the nms ip isn't all 0's, you need either need to add DCE's ip to one of the other access control fields, eg 3 and or 4, or if the nms ip is in the same subnet as dce (eg both are on 10,0.1.x), you could change the last octet to a .255, 10.1.0.255.
some other possible issues are snmp is blocked between DCE and the UPS device and or you're out of licenses. I have all seen some weird issues in more recent versions where you need to restart the DCE client to see new devices, but thats rare.
worst case, call your local tech support, US is 877-908-2688 and have them help you troubleshoot.

Did not realize I needed to use SNMP for the UPS devices. Thanks!
