Help with Remaining Capacity Power values not showing on ITA

Hi All,

After spending days searching for a solution, I am writing here for help. I am a newbie with the ITA and have an issue with the remaining capacity of my newly installed racks in the data center. The old racks which was installed before my time are showing remaining capacity values and power limit on the system but my newly installed racks are not. I attach the screen shots below to what I mean.

Any suggestions on what I am missing out would be really helpful. I am not sure where to look. The UPS have been configured correctly and the rack PDUs are attached to it. The PDUs are from the DCE and they are showing the retrieved values correclty. Hence, I am not sure why the capacity of the UPS is not being calculated like it is for the older racks...

Hi Vijay,

Here is a short status of our findings (that may be shared here):

Issue was/is basically related to the modeled rack-pdus. Those rack-pdus (AP8886) have extended power info - somehow those modeled rackpdus appear to break in power capacity calculations.

Suggestion to resolve the issue is/was remodeling those items/rack-pdus, eg. delete the rack pdu and then add (from Genome Library/Genomes).

(before making any changes it is recommended to take a fresh backup.)

Kind regards,

Jef

Hi Vijay,

It might be related to invalid power configuration (only guessing) in your newly added rack(s). To understand the problem we may need to take a closer look into the setup. If you could provide the following data, then I will take a look:
- copy of the latest backup file
- and the server logs.
If you could send me a private message (info about your email), then I can send you an invite to our secure =S= location to share the data safely between us (you and I).

Or preferably submit the issue via the following webform in the help center:
https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000334353
then we can take it from there.

Thanks,

Kind regards,

Jef

Hi Jef,

Thanks a lot for replying. It took me some time to get the files that you needed. I At the same time, I have created a support ticket to address the issue (98168).

I would upload the files (~ 1GB) once you can provide me a place to put it. Perhaps we can continue this on the support ticket.

Thanks a again.

Cheers,
Vijay
