Hi Afsaneh,

AP94VMACT is an activation key (license) for StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE) virtual machine.

This license (activation key) can only be installed on DCE virtual appliance.

DCO is a different software, for more details please see the following page(s):

Thanks for your following. My question is about after installing virtual DCE, please imagine we have DCE which is installed via ova and AP94VMACT and it works now. Then we want to insert DCO license in our DCE, is it ok? or we have to insert DCO license on hardware DCE server such as AP9475?

StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE) virtual appliance can be installed on VMware. After the installation, to activate the appliance, you would need to install ap94vmact activation key. 

DCO is a different software, and must be installed on a dedicated server.

DCO is shipped with its operating system (CentOS) and can be installed both on a physical server an/or on a virtual environment (VM). For system requirements please see the following page: System requirements

We have DCE AP94vmact on a VM and we want to use DCO, what can we do after purchasing the DCO license? is it just active the dco license key in our DCE?

Because I want to use DCO but I don't know whether I can active it on DCE ap94vmact or it needs a hardware server such as ap9475? I want to know where I have to insert the DCO key license? Is it necessary to have an AP9475 hardware server or a dce ap94vmact is ok?

could you please more explain about a dedicated server for DCO? as I knew for installing a DCO we need AP9475, and then we have to activate the license key of dco in the dce (ap9475). Is it right for the installing of the DCO?

Hi Afsaneh,

DCO cannot be activated on DCE.

(DCO dose not require similar activation license as DCE).

DCO needs to be installed on a hardware sever or it can also be installed on a virtual machine.

Here is a minimum server requirement:

CPU: at least 4 cores (we recommend 8 cores)

Memory: at least 16 GB RAM

hard disk/storage: at least 100 GB

After you have installed DCO on a server, then you can add DCO related licenses:

DCO license (basic license)

Capacity license 

Change license, etc.
