Hi all, is there a way to flush the DNS cache on a StruxureWare DCE server?
We replaced a faulty UPS with a new unit and reused the old IP but with a new hostname. However even with removing the device from DCE and adding it again it's still showing the old hostname.
A server reboot seemed to sort it out but I'm just wondering if there's another way to clear the cache without needing to reboot.
Cheers.

Hi Jamie,
There is no command to flush the DNS on the DCE server, so a reboot would be required.

You can connect to console with ssh and you can try that command. "service nscd restart"
