Fiber infrastructure using Corning EDGE Housings

We are installing new fiber infrastructure using Corning EDGE Housings model EDGE-01U-SP, MTP LC Modules ECM-UM12-05-93Q (LC Duplex to MTP (pinned), 12 Fibers) and MTP to MTP Trunk Cable Z757524QLZ88U010M (24 fibers),

Please advise how to map this in ITA

Hello Roni

ITA does not support cassette like network objects as a single/individual genome. Not yet at least. ITA also does not support trunk cables as an individual object. Not yet at least. So when you have items like the below examples you'd have to use this type of work-around in ITA.

To define a cassette like above you should consider defining these objects as separate network modules like the below example representing each cassette. In my below example I used my own simple names cassette-1 and cassette-2 but you'd substitute your own MPT name.

ITA will allow you to connect each cable separately in this case, so you'll have full ability to module each strand and see the connection/route info. There are open feature requests tied back to better handling of cassettes of these types as well as trunk cable connections outbound.

Regards
