If i have an external battery pack attached to a UPS that is monitored in Struxureware DCE, will the UPS alert if one of the external batteries are bad?

Dear Todd Walters,

To answer your question, you must at least know the UPS model and the type of external batteries.

For example, Symmetra PX series UPS can connect both Schneider Electric battery cabinets (using Schneider Electric battery modules) and simply shelves with batteries (the model/type is not specified). In the first case, the brains of the UPS can identify faulty battery modules. And in the second case it is simply impossible. The maximum that can be determined by the brains of the UPS is a failure in the next self-test of the battery in general.
