Exporting a design from the Infraestructure designer in DCO 7.3.6

Hello everyone.

I would like to know if it is possible to export the rooms I have created for a datacenter with all its configuration.

I have searched in the documentation available for that version (http://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/UAOps73/Importing+a+design+from+the+InfraStruxure+Designer) where it says it is possible when selecting the option "File>Export To Struxuware Data Center Operation". But these option doesn't appears in the version of DCO I am running, however, I am able to import the xml configuration file via "File > Import > Infraextruxure Designer".

Does anybody know if it's some kind of issue related to that version?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Søren.

My enterprise actually is a Schneider Electric certified partner. Do you know how partners are able to get ISX Designer?

Thanks.

Hi Manuel,

If you want to import a design into Data Center Operation from ISX Designer you first need to go into ISX Designer. In ISX Designer will you need to open up the room "Edit Design". When you have this open will you in the File menu under Export see the option to export to Data Center Operation.

Please see below screenshot

When you have exported the design from Designer then follow the guide to import the design in Data Center Operation.

It is not possible to create a data center in Data Center Operation and export it, so it can be used in ISX Designer.

Thanks

Jesper

Thanks Jesper.

Do you know if it's possible to get a copy of ISX Designer through Schneider's website? We recently began to use DCO 7.3.6 and I can't find it in DCO software bundle.

Thanks.

Hi, ISX Designer is a corporate Schneider sales tool that is running in the cloud. It is not a product and therefore is also not to be found in the DCO software bundle. If an ISX designer solution has been build this design could be exported and then imported into DCO. /Søren

Hi Manuel,

ISX Designer is a Schneider cooperate configuration tool, so only Schneider employees and partners have access to this tool. ISX Designer is used to build a design which a customer then can purchase. So a entire solution with Rack, UPS, software and etc. Then to ease the implementation is it possible to export the design from Designer and import it in Operation.

If you don't have a design in ISX Designer is there no benefit to go through ISX Designer. You should then build your solution directly in Data Center Operation.

If you have a designer solution you could contact your local Schneider representative. He/She should be able to export the design from ISX Designer.

Thanks

Jesper

Hi, given you are showing a screen shot from DCO, I suppose you question is:

Is it possible to export the rooms I have created - in DCO- for a datacenter with ALL its configuration.

And the answer is:

No that is not possible,

but you can configure the DCO server to do backups of all your data, if that is what you are looking for?

/Gert
