Is there any means in DCO 7.4 of exporting multiple rooms with all infrastructure (including layout, power dependencies, etc) for re-import into another DCO server?
I need to break out about 3 rooms and 450 racks worth of equipment from DCO instance to another server for legal reasons, and really didn't want to have to re-create all the base room layout and infrastructures prior to being able to import all of the equipment.
I've already tried creating a backup of the database and deleting all the other space of which were not needed, however the data from those deleted spaces is retained in the database which is not acceptable as it holds company confidential information.

Hi Jeff,
As you have experienced there are no way to fully delete all data related to rooms at database level.
The approach you have taken of backing up the server and restoring it and then deleting the unwanted rooms are the right way to go however there will be data from the old rooms present in the audit log database.
I will contact you directly via email.

BTW if the rooms are separated from each other entirely, will there still going to be data from other rooms?

Hi Gleb and Ed,
The solution to this is the above mentioned process of creating a backup and restoring it to a new server. On the new server then delete the not wanted rooms.
There are still audit log entries on the server, however rooms and related data to those rooms are deleted when the room(s) are deleted.
