Error installing DCE on server 2022 Physical

Afternoon all,

I have successfully made a bootable USB stick with the installation media on it (restore-8.3.0.91.iso) i made this with the DCE Expert flash restore media and all appeared to go through as expected and came up with done. I then removed the USB stick and attempted to boot my server from it it runs through the installer before eventually stopping with the following error:

The USB stick is larger then 4 GB but will this make a difference I'm trying to locate a smaller one.

The following problem occurred on line 91 of the kickstart file:

Section %post does not end with %end.

Any help on this very much appreciated.

Hello PSB101, 

Can you please provide a little more detail? Did you purchase one of the following Data Center Expert physical servers? 

AP9465

AP9470

AP9475

If the server is not one of the SKUs listed above, the installation will fail due to the lack of drivers. The ISO file is designed to contain the nessiary drivers to install on SE hardware. The only option outside of SE hardware would be to deploy Data Center Expert on a VM leveraging the OVA file.

Thank you for the assistance this makes sense i now realise that this software has to be installed on a VM as opposed to directly onto a physical server - some of the documentation relating to this does not make this clear as it refers to physical - but actually means a VM running on a Physical. I have this all now working.
