EcoStruxure DCE - not able to remove user group after adding new authentication server (AD)

Hello. Recently we upgraded our domain controllers, and the new AD servers got new names. As expected, the "authentication server" inside DCE stopped working, as the old server/setting got obsolete. After adding a new "authentication server", however, and following this: Solved: AD User Groups in DCE - Schneider Electric Community, we are not able to re-add AD groups that exist already. We follow the wizard, select the group, but then the list is blank:

Then, if we go back to the tab "users", the AD group is still there, however "type" is blank. If we try to delete that group, we got this:

Apparently we have to delete this group, then re-add under "authentication servers" tab - but how can we fix the error message above, so deletion could go through? Thank you.

Hello @olivieri,

If you are able to reconnect to the old AD server, try doing so and then removing the groups first and then the AD server.  I'm not sure if this would resolve this specific problem, but worth a try.  If it doesn't work, I recommend connecting with technical support to resolve this issue.

Kind Regards,

Cory

Thanks Cory! Unfortunately we are not able to reconnect the old server, but I got a case with technical support and they are looking into it. I will update this post once we get a solution.
