Eaton powerware expert not showing sensor values

I am running DCE 7.5 and have a pair of Eaton PowerXpert's and when I discover the device the only value I receive is the online status and MAC address of the device. I tried using SNMPv1 and Modbus/TCP. Modbus/TCP fails and snmp gives the two values I have stated.

any suggestions? thanks

Dear Shawn McGowan,

Please specify the model of your Eaton PowerXpert devices.

I want to note, that more recently the process of querying DDF-files has changed for the better: now you can download the DDF-files you need without contacting the support team ๐Ÿ˜€.

Therefore, if the above problem is in the DDF-file, try on the Device Support resource to find the DDF-file you need, download it and import it into DCE software according to the instructions. For example, the simplest search leads us to the result:

After that you can download the DDF-file you need or download all DDF-files as an zip-archive for further verification in DCE:

I hope this helps you.

With respect.

PowerXpert gateway card PXGX.  I downloaded the DDFs from the website and get device sensors but no values. The DDF that worked was the power expert digitrip not the power expert. see the sensor values below.

Dear Shawn McGowan,

Ok, that is, the DDF-file for Digitrip 1150 is right for you?

In that case I highly recommend you on Device Support for the most suitable DDF-file to create "Request modification". And then the DDF team will help you create a DDF-file for you, which will work completely for you and your Eaton UPS.

If you have any further questions, please ask.

With respect.

Dear Shawn McGowan,

If you are going to do DDF-file "Request modification", then of course you need to have two files:

  1. snmpwalk-file, which you make yourself according to instruction How to create a SNMP walk file for Struxureware Expert/InfraStruXure Central.
  2. MIB-file of your device, which you either download from the device (if possible) or request from the device vendor.

With respect.
