I will be updating all of our UPS', PDUs and Netbotz through StruxureWare DCE and when I "Check for Updates" and it lists all the devices needing updates, it does not say if it is just the Network Management card. Am I to assume it is just the network card? Is it possible that it is a package update that includes more than just the management card? I do not want these devices to reboot or lose power due to this update. We have too much valuable equipment to just take a chance.
Specifically updates are :
UPS - SUMX 6.5.6/6.5.6
PDUs - RPDU2G 6.5.6/6.5.6 & RPDU 3.9.2/3.9.2
Thanks!

Hi Danny,
You're correct, a firmware upgrade will only reboot the NMC for most devices. It's the exact same as if you used the downloadable firmware executable. It does the same thing behind the scenes (ftp/scp).
I mentioned it will not reboot "most devices". The potential exceptions are cooling devices. Updating the firmware on cooling devices may cause the unit to reboot which is actually why cooling units are not upgradable through DCE. You have to manually run the upgrade and it warns you if the device may reboot.
Thanks,
Steve
