I 'm trying to make DCO support half rack like AP3200.
If it is ok, I would like to know how I can set other than genome. I cannot find AP3200 in genome

Hi Yoshinobu,
Workaround exists for this. You would want to go for a generic rack & before dragging it into the layout, you can reset as many U positions you want with any other dimension related properties. However, we will welcome your inputs if you suggest to associated any more properties or to add any more equipment to Genome.
Should you have any lists, you can forward it to us to consider if those can be added to the Genome.

Hi,
we have a similar issue. We have full racks separated in quarter and half racks in our datacenter for Colo purposes. How can we put 4 Quarter Racks 11HE on top of each other?
Best regards
Johannes

HI Johannes,
I believe you are going with Co-Lo licenses here. Anyway, the Co-Lo features are supported at cage level only. This is in view that, once the client enters his assigned cage, he should be able to access all his allocated assets. However, at rack level, the client should not have any access to the infrastructure that does not belong to him, or he might not want to access the things other than those allocated to him.
Anyway, workaround still exists for your scenario.
1>You might use multiple "tags" to assign multiple clients within the same racks. Option of Equipment browser could help you uniquely identify these segregated clients within the same racks. in similar way, you can also tag the rack PDUs as well if at all you are using separate for each client within the same racks.
2>In case if you want pictorial representation of your rack being allocated to various clients, you can make use of some non power objects to depict the client name plate.
I would personally recommend to got for Tagging he equipment as you can draw various kinds of reports in more efficient way when the equipment is tagged.
