Good day,

Please i have a Soccomec modulys GP UPS Green Power 2.0 i want to integrate into DCE. I have assigned an IP address to the ups through the "Digi Connect ME" card connected to the UPS.

Can anyone help guide me how to discover the ups on DCE

Maybe you need to load the DDF file for Socomec SNMP comunication on DCE.

After this, you can add the SNMP device pointing his IP address and SNMP port.

Hi, also check the SNMP settings on the UPS.  The UPS must be enabled for SNMP, maybe start with V1, make sure the IP address of the DCE is configured to communicate with UPS via SNMP (or all IPs permitted, ofteh the default) and make sure the SNMP Community String (password) set on the UPS (usually "public") is applied to the DCE discovery config.  If you confirm that SNMP is configured and all the config is correct, as Patrico suggest, you may need a new DDF

Apologies for not providing feedback back sooner. 

After setting Ling all the parameters on the digi connect comms card I could only see one information (ups percentage utilization) on the ups web interface. 

I went ahead to see if I could discover the device on DCE but that didn’t work either. 

I have spoken to the ups supplier to change the comms card to a netvision card. Hope fully I will be able to view other information via the web interface. Then I will integrate.

Ok, when you have additional information, please inform.

Although, as far as I know, for this 3rd party UPS model can use the pre-installed in DCE software SNMP DDF-file upsmib.xml (UPS MIB (RFC1628) DDF v.11).

I resolved the issue by swapping the Digi connect ME card with a NetVision comms card and i was able to integrate the UPS into struxtureware.
