Detecting more than 1 uniflair unit

This question was originally posted on DCIM Support by Pierre Magdi on 2016-02-01

Hello Guys,

I have a problem of connecting more than 1 uniflair unit.

At the site their are 5 units each with pcoweb and all what I can detect when I add a new device in DCE is the first unit only.

what could be done here ? And should all the units be LAN connected together or Each can be stand alone ?

As far as I know, each Uniflair unit's pcoweb NIC card should be configured with an IP address in order to connect to DCE software via SNMP.

Hi Pierre,

That is correct all the units will require separate IP addresses.

Pierre,

Start with some basic troubleshooting.

Are all the units able to be "pinged"

Do you have an different IP assigned to each individual Unit?

Are you able to reach individual units HTTP pages via a web browser?

Do you have the correct SNMP settings on each individual Unit?

When doing the discovery are you using the correct IP & SNMP info?

Once you are able to say YES to the above then you should be able to add all of the individual units into DCE .
