DCO8 Hardware Compatibility

Hi,

Understand that DCO 7.5 traditional ISO can not be run on a Proliant G9 without installation of RHEL 6.

Will DCO 8 address this when released, specifically can it be installed on a G9 with P244ar controller?

Hi David,

We do not have that specific RAID controller in our lab, but according to the HP P244br spec sheet it should be supported, see link below. HP P440ar has been successfully tested. DCO 8 will be running on Centos 7 which is compatible with RHEL 7 drivers.

The DCO 8 ISO (Centos 7) and RHEL 7 installations are basically the same. So hardware support should be the same. Not 100% sure if Redhat includes extra drivers in RHEL. If RHEL supported third-party RAID drivers are needed they can be loaded during installation, also on Centos.
