Shortly after download started, the web client got error as displayed in the attached screenshot.
we were able to download the backup image when the size was smaller, about 400M, but now the size is a bit over 1G. Not sure if this is related, but that's the only difference that i can tell.

Hello Yilai
Which browser are you using? I also had a similar experience with earlier DCO releases (earlier than 8.3) when using chrome to download backups over 1GB in size. Do you experience the same result using an alternative browser like firefox?
It may be necessary to download the backup using a SCP tool from server. Toolsets like putty provide a program called pscp.exe for performing secured copies to and from linux.

Thank you Greg for the quick response. It will take some time for me to just test it out on Firefox - just submitted approval for getting it installed on my desktop, yes, you heard me.
I know it can be downloaded using SCP or as such, but in a tight controlled ENV as we are in, you wouldn't even believe how much it can make our life easier if we can just download it from the web client.
I will get back to you for the test result when i have it.
Thanks

Very good.
Send us an update when you have more details. I can tell you since updating to 8.3.x releases of DCO the download problem seems to have subsided. I hope someone from the engineering side may be able to shed some light on whether there was an actual change or not which helped with this problem.
I regularly now download backup files greater than 1GB, but on earlier releases like 8.2.12 and 8.2.7 I noticed similar behavior you describe, at least with chrome.

Hi Greg/Yilai,
The latest version of DCO and ITA contains implemented enhancements to improve the browser related issue (for uploading/downloading the large files).
Kind regards

Hi Greg and Jeff,
I've tested with ITA, and it's true that ITA doesn't have such issue. Please go ahead close the case.
Thanks,
Yilai
