DCO failed integrate with DCE Server

Hi,

Im facing an issue where the DCO cannot integrated with DCE server(external System), Is there any specific port require to be open for this integration.?? I have check the manual and said for this integration require port 80 and 443 must be open. I had open this 2 port but still cannot integrate.

kindly refer picture below for error massage.

Hi Syaharuddin,

I would suggest the following basic troubleshooting

1. verify if the DCE server is up and running

2. verify if the DCE IP is correct/correctly entered (can also be tested via a browser)

3. verify if the DCE user credentials are correct, the user name and password, which have been used for the integration with DCO. (can be tested via DCE client)

4. ssh log in to the DCO server, and then ping "DCE IP" to test the connection

Hi Syaharuddin,

What is the version of your DCO? and DCE? I guess they are not the latest versions, right?

Would that be a correct assumption, that you see that error message when you push the "Test" button, right?

It has been a known issue that the "Test" button did not work for DCE 7.2.6. This DCO/DCE integration Test button issue is fixed in DCO 7.5 (the current release version).

If my assumptions are correct, I would suggest:

a) upgrade the servers (DCO and DCE) to the latest versions

b) or just ignore the error message and continue the integration

Hi Jef, The version for DCE is 7.2.5 and DCO is 7.4.5. i had manage to integrate this two system with same version from our demo unit and it was working fine. If i ignore the error massage, in the external system did not show the DCE. So i cannot mapping the DCE device and sensor into DCO layout. BTW, let me explain a bit on network architecture, this two system connected via a VLAN connection between Cloud network and office network. The DCo installed on VM at cloud network and DCE was install at Office network.Previously we having an issue to ping each other and now the problem was solved by network team. I also check the port for 80 and 443 are open. from the DCIM DCO integration port requirement, the port require for this integration is only port 80 or 443. Question, is there any other port or firewall require for this integration??except listed on DCO user assistance manual. However,i will try to upgarde both system to tle latest version and check back the integration status. thanks&regards

Hi Syaharudddin I should have mentioned that the "Test" button issue concerns only the integration between DCO 7.4.x and DCE 7.2.6, and then assuming everything else is okay. Many thanks for the explanation about your network, that makes it more clear now (initially I assumed that the servers were on the same network). I will see what I can find for you, Kind regards

Hi Syaharudddin The required ports for the communication is port 80 and 443. I would suggest to run a test and verify that those ports are in fact open and reachable between your DCO and DCE. Here is how to run a simple test: ssh log in your DCO, and then type the following nc -zv 80 443 The out put would display if the port 80 and 443 are open.
