Hi
I have 2 questions/issues about the DCO 8.1 web client on iOS
mentions that "You can also use photos you already have on your device." but on my iPhone (iOS 10.3.2) there is only one button "Take picture"...
Is there a way to force the web client for smartphone on iPad? my iPad does not show the "scanning barcode" button...
Best Regards,
Yannick

Hi Yannick,
On iPhone/iOS live streaming is not supported so you would need to take picture. Currently the barcode scanner can be used to "Search" and for the time being is only supported on smart phones (Android and iOS).
Kind regards

Hi Jef,
Do you know if it is planned to extend this barcode scanner (even with the 'take picture' option) to iPad ?
Best Regards

Hi Yannick,
At this point as far as I know there are no plans, but I will go ahead and capture this as a feature request for you, thanks.

So even the search function seems to be not available on my iphone 8 running IOS 11.2.2 and DCO version 8.2.2. I get a "This device does not support barcode scanning. Please try another device"

Hi Steve,
Issue seems to be from the Safari browser side (in iOS 11.2.x), I could see the similar notification on my iPhone 8.
However, as work around, you might want to use Chrome - works without any problem.
And/or probably might want to use external barcode scanner (something like socket mobile CHS 7Ci, 1D Barcode Scanner).
Kind regards
