Hello Experts,
We are preparing a solution for a customer for SxDCE and ITA on premise.
63 DCE server for different locations and IT advisor on premise. Is it possible to integrate 63 DCE servers to ITA using external system configuration?
If there is any limitation, what maximum DCE can be integrated in ITA?
How many maximum users can be created in ITA on prem?
Thanks
Karthik

Hello Karthik
I'm going to forward your inquiry to engineering for comment in addition to adding my own comments below.
There are limitations to the number of DCE's which can be attached to ITA (or DCO). I do not believe there is a hardcoded exact limit number as I believe its based on a combination of the number of DCE's and the number of devices those DCE's are monitoring. Based on my experience in these situations I would state the limit is approximately 15 DCE servers.
Depending on your customer's requirements, would they consider using ITE for the monitoring? In a heavily distributed configuration which would require a lot of distributed monitoring servers, the ITE connector to on-premise ITA would allow all of the ITE gateways to collect to one place and then require a single connection to on-premise ITA.
If ITE is not an option, do you have the possibility to deploy fewer DCE's in a more "regional" format?
Regards
Greg Sterling

Hi @gsterling
Hope you are doing good and safe.
Thanks for your feedback on my query. Device available in customer premise required custom DDF. Customer has Automation server to be connected in Monitoring tool.
That's the reason team proposed for DCE, then we would need to limit the DCE as per regional format as you suggested.
Meanwhile could you please help on the another query that How many maximum number of users can be created in ITA-On prem.
Stay safe!
Karthik

Hello Karthik.
I do not believe there is a hard coded limit to the number of users DCO or ITA will support.
I can tell you I have worked directly with customers who have 100's of users defined in DCO or ITA. Those customers are also usually relying on active directory or ldap for their authentication, but the actual user count in DCO/ITA can be 100's of users. I worked with one earlier this week that had nearly 500 user accounts in ITA.
I should note the DCO/ITA system requirements (https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037889033-ITA-system-requirements-for-on-p...) does ask about concurrent users in DCO or ITA. So while the number of created users is not technically limited, it is worth understanding how many of the customers users are expected to work in the solution simultaneously.
