I want to know what is licensing for DCIM. I was quoted for 200 racks license for DCO. what does it mean? Is it related to number of IP's or racks. When using with DC Expert what will be licensing requirements?

DCO, Change, and Capacity are all rack based licensing (number of racks spread across your data center/s. DCE runs on a separate platform and is licensed by the number devices (ips) it monitors. They are two separate licensing schemes.

In DCO, a rack is a 2 post, 4 post, or cabinet (eg AR3100, AR3150, AR3350) that IT assets (servers, networking gear, storage shelves, etc) can mounted in. As soon as you put a rack on your floor layout in Operations, it will count against your rack licenses.
UPS', PDUs, air handlers, etc do not count against your rack licenses. Also if you have the Capacity module, racks added in Data Center Lab do not count against your rack licenses.
Hope this answers your question
