DCE custom properties via SOAP web api?

Is it possible to get sensor custom properties via the SOAP api?  From my testing, it does not appear to be possible, but wanted to ask anyway.

So far the only way I've seen to get this data out of DCE is to run a report and add the custom properties as additional columns.

It is currently not possible to pull custom properties using DCE web services.  I have associated your request to an enhancement request.
