Hi team,
I know DCE's license is associated to the MAC address where the software is running.
Can we use the HA vmotion solution from vMware with DCE? We worry about having problems if the VM machine migrates to another server and the MAC address does not match with the license.
How can we solve this?
Regards

Deploy dce vm with static Mac address (before you switched on the vm).
That way, when it is vmotion-ed or ft/ha,it will keep the same static Mac address.
I do not think you can set in VMware to keep a dynamically assigned Mac address for a vm though.(anyone else with vm can help verify?)

Hi Javier,
Although I have never worked specifically with Vmotion, I can say that anything that alters the mac address in any way will cause DCE to fail and should not be used.
Thanks,Steve
