We are running DCE 7.9.3. If we add a device (APC NMC2 or NMC3) using SNMPv3 and SHA/AES to DCE, then communication w/ the device does not function correctly. However, if we reboot the DCE server, then it resolves the issue. This only applies when using SHA/AES. If we switch to MD5/DES, then a reboot is not required. I called SE support, and they could not provide a bug ID or anything to track this issue. The only solution we could find, was a reboot of the server. For now, we will be re-configuring all devices to use MD5/DES.
I have posted about this issue before: https://community.se.com/t5/EcoStruxure-IT-forum/DCE-and-SNMPv3-SHA-AES-not-working-w-UPS-NMC/m-p/41...
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Does anyone from Schneider Electric know if this issue is known and tracked? Should we expect a permanent fix? I haven't seen chatter on this forum for this specific issue, so it makes me wonder if there is something specific to our installation that is causing the issue. Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

Hi @Phlerm,
There was a recent improvement in 8.1.X with SNMPv3 communication that may be related to this. I would recommend upgrading to the most recent version of DCE (8.1.1 as of writing this) and if this issue is still present after this, reach out to technical support for investigation.
If you do not have access to DCE updates, please reach out to technical support to have your software support contracts verified and be provided access.
Regards,
Cory
