DCE and DCO VM specifications

Hi Team,

Question for both DCE and DCO running in a Virtual environment

I think there is a typo in the DCE max VM specifications:

Should it be the other way around: 4xCPU and 16GB RAM ?
For DCO is there a specific link between the CPU cores and the amount of RAM?
My customer would like to give DCO 8xCPUs and 128GB RAM as this is his standard VM package...any issues with that size?

Hi Lukasz,

1- You are right, it seems to be mis-typed, the system recommendation (for DCE) for up to 4025 device nodes should be 4 GB RAM and 4 CPUs. (corrected now)

2- For DCO, having 8 CPU cores and 128 GB RAM would be just fine.

The minimum recommendation for a setup with 8 CPUs, would be at least 32 GB RAM (so having more RAM would not cause any problem).

Not always more is better and supported so just wanted to make sure DCO OS layer won't complain about too much RAM 😀
