I'm upgrading AP9475 + time limited AP95100 from 7.0.0 to 7.2.7 but got as far as 7.2.4. Both attempts failed after the task bar got most of the way then the popup "Unable to upload the server update" appeared. I've checked the MD5 for the file and it's fine. Originally, the box would not take a 7.2.7 USB key citing a DIMM issue, but it rebooted fine to 7.0.0 and has been through the upgrade process to 7.2.4

Hi Ed,
Does the server show such errors on it's font panel? You also state that the updates succeed up to 7.2.4. I'm assuming from there, you're going to 7.2.5 as updates must go from 7.2.4 - 7.2.5 - 7.2.6 - 7.2.7. If you're seeing "DIMM" errors, can you please specify? Exactly what was the error? Do you have mac address, serial number, and Dell service tag?
Was this same server part of your other post?:
If so, have you tried the suggestions made there?
There are a few reasons the updates may fail.
Similarly, restores have certain issues:
Possibilities of issues with the update itself are possible but since the update from 7.2.4 to 7.2.5 failed and we know that there is nothing wrong with that code (it's been available for quite some time), that is not part of the issue.
So since some updates work and others don't, some restores work and others don't, as long as they have been tested on other systems, it would appear to be specific to that hardware. Again, get the dell tag, mac, and serial number. Case number would help also if available. Potentially, running diagnostics on the hardware would be in order.
