DCE - Struxurewar Expert sensor history not working

Hi,

StruxureWare Expert version: 7.4.1.5

I would like to get sensor information from the last 30 days and the it is not working.

This is true for web and desktop client too.

I can get only the last 4 days graphs instead of 30 days. Here is an example:

It is created in desktop client as a report. Please check X axis where the time is not correlated to the time window which is in the top (27-Sep-2017 - 27-Oct-2017)

Furthermore as you can see the beginning of the graph shows values from 23-Oct-2017

I have more than 600 devices (ATS, UPS, PDU, NetBotz) in StruxureWare and randomly selected about 10 and all are showing the same problem: even if I select the last 30 days I get only the last 4 days information in desktop and web client as well.

Is your DCE hardware server or Virtual Machine application?

What is the current storage status which can be checked under administration settings-Storage? If possible, share the screen shot of the current DCE storage.

Hi Mate, 

I would suggest the following:

I believe that the DCE storage space for sensor data is very low which could be the reason for you not able to generate the last 30 days data. 

You will need to increase the DCE VM storage to at least 150 GB so that you will be able to generate the report for the last 30 days. You will need to wait for 30 days from the date you added the DCE storage to generate 30 days report ๐Ÿ˜€

Please take the current DCE config and full backup, and then increase the storage of your DCE as explained in the below tips.

Hi Bala,

I also using scheduled backups. Do it contain those data what I need?

Does it mean that history report is not using these backups the gather information from the past?

Hi Mate-Yes. backup file is meant to be used when there is an issue in DCE application. The sensor data report is generated based on the storage not based on backup. It can be used to restore the DCE configuration and data to the last stage. The reason I have asked you to take the backup is to make sure that we don't miss any configuration or it can be used just in case if something goes wrong when you add additional hard disk as explained in my tips. However at least some kind of notification would be useful in the GUI. Because even if I have chance to select large time window to see sensor the bottleneck is the local storage where DCE is running and that limitation is not allow to gather the requested information.
