DCE Memory configuration

Hello,

Recently upgraded DCE to 8.2.0. Moved to new VM with 16GB RAM of memory and 16CPUs.

But in the logs found interesting line:

"Server configured to use a maximum of 7.9 GB of memory with 16 CPUs."

How to allocate all available memory to DCE?

Our setup is quite big, with more than 2000 devices, and would like to use all available resources.

Hello @minrusi,

That amount of RAM is likely what the application running on the server is configured specifically to use.  The total utilized RAM should be more than that with OS functions also consuming some of the other assigned RAM.

If you check the following URL, ensuring to replace IP_Address with the IP address of your server, you can see the CPU and RAM information: https://IP_ADDRESS/nbc/compress/support/hwinfo

Regards,

Cory

Hi,

Checked memory info, seems all 16GB of ram are available, probably you are right, that 7.9 GB of allocated memory is for the DCE application, other memory is allocated for other OS functions:
